Groupbuyhive is an online shopping platform that connects you with local grocery stores, convenience stores and retailers. We make it easy for you to shop for everyday essentials at great prices while supporting local businesses.
How do I place an order?
You can place an order in different ways:
- Type the product you seek in the search button at the top of the page.
- Search for stores using your city as a keyword. For example, you could type 'meat Brampton' to find the stores near you.
Then add items to your cart, and proceed to checkout. You’ll receive a confirmation once your order is placed.
Can I order from multiple stores?
Yes! Groupbuyhive lets you shop from different stores in one place, making it easy to find everything you need.
Note: Different stores have different delivery times or pick up options. We will email or text you the details immediately after your order.
How do I pay for my order?
We offer multiple payment options, including Interac, debit/credit cards and mobile payments.
We encourage you to pay via Interac to avoid 3% credit card fees.
Is there a delivery option?
Yes, many stores on Groupbuyhive offer delivery. The delivery fee is a deposit. Actual delivery fees could be higher or lower, depending on the distance and the store.
After your order, we will email or text you the actual delivery fee which might require a top-up from you or a refund from us. We'll also email or text you the delivery time estimates.
What is delivery fee deposit?
The delivery fee during checkout is a deposit. This means that actual delivery fees could be higher or lower.
The actual delivery fee is calculated based on the distance to your delivery address and the delivery fees charged by the vendor or store.
After your order, we will email or text you the actual delivery fee which might require a top-up from you or a refund from us.
We'll also email or text you the delivery time estimates.
Can I pick up from the store?
Yes! If a store offers pickup, you can choose that option at checkout and collect your items. Show the store or vendor your Groupbuyhive confirmation receipt.
Because we partner with different stores, the pickup option at checkout only shows our head office in Toronto. Ignore that, select the pick up option and place your order.
We will email or text you the actual pickup location, after your order.
What does pre-order mean?
A pre-order means paying for a product before it is officially available or before it is in stock.
For Groupbuyhive, pre-orders might apply when:
- Vendors need time to source bulk quantities before fulfilling orders.
- Certain perishable goods are only available seasonally or on-demand.
- A minimum order quantity must be met before processing the purchase.
By pre-ordering, you agree to wait for the specified timeframe before receiving your items.
What if I have an issue with my order?
Due to the perishable nature of most items sold on Groupbuyhive, returns are not accepted unless:
- The product was damaged upon arrival
- The wrong item was delivered
- The item was expired or spoiled upon delivery
If you experience any of the above issues, you must report it within 24 hours of delivery by emailing Email support@groupbuyhive.com
Once verified, the vendor will determine if a refund, replacement, or store credit will be issued.
Non-Refundable Items
- Orders that were delivered in good condition but were not stored properly by the customer
- Customer dissatisfaction with taste, size, or appearance (unless significantly different from what was advertised)
- Delayed deliveries due to courier issues beyond the vendor’s control
